Avoca, Iowa Holidays on Main event.  Always the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Featuring live reindeer and the sleigh!  Vendor/Craft fair, and the ever-popular Ugly Christmas Sweater 3K Race. Medals awarded for all ages, young to old.  Santa will be hearing all the kids' Christmas wishes. Kids 4-8 will have fun running in the Reindeer Races. There will be free S'Mores and the Antique Firetruck for pictures. Numerous kid activities & petting zoo. Trolley/Hayrack rides throughout town. We end the evening with a Bethlehem walk and Live Nativity, Tree Lighting, and Legion will have spaghetti dinner and live music.
